As a lively bible-teaching Anglican church we welcome people of all ages and backgrounds, whether you are used to going to church or not.
We seek to be a community of Christians serving each other and the needs of the town, parish and surrounding countryside.
We meet every Sunday morning at 11am for worship, Bible-teaching, prayer and communion (twice a month). There is always provision for children and young people during our services. Sunday Club meets every week during term time and we have a monthly all-age Family Service. Our “Thirsty” youth group for 11 – 18 year olds meets on Friday evenings in the church and on Sundays during services.
During the week Home Groups meet in members' homes and Little Fishes toddler group on Thursday mornings in the church Mortimer room.
Tuesday Chat is an informal group for anyone in or around North Tawton meeting in the church Mortimer room fortnightly on Tuesday mornings for fellowship and coffee. Everyone is welcome.
There is a regular monthly North Tawton Prayer Meeting with other churches in the town. See the church newsletter for details of all these events.
We also run frequent courses such as Christianity Explored, Life Explored, Alpha, Discipleship Explored and Just 10.
In the last 5 years the St Peter’s Troupers have staged three musicals in the church - Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Another Story Begins and Oliver!
